Q: Can I fill out a paper based application?
A: The Altira team requires you to apply using the online system. This is a more effective way of keeping track of your application status.
 
Q: Can I send in my resume?
A: Our central database requires that you complete the online form and include your details (just like a resume) to be considered for a position at Altira.
 
Q: Where is the Melco Crown Entertainment Career Centre?
A: Melco Crown Entertainment's Recruitment Center is located at Shop H, G/F, Zhu Kuan Building, 81-121 Avenida Xian Xing Hai, Macau, where you could apply for the positions including Altira and City of Dreams.
 
Q: When is the Career Centre Open?

Q: Do I need to have a certificate from the Macau Tourism & Casino Centre (CCC) to get a job related to entertainment at Altira?
A: No, we review all applications; however, it is an advantage if you do have the certificate or prior entertainment experience.
 
Q: How do I know that my application has been received?
A: Once you submit your online application you will receive a response confirming receipt of your application.
 
Q: Can I apply for more than one position?
A: You can apply for up to 2 positions at one time, however these are separate applications.
 
Q: Why do I need a password?
A: The password ensures the security & confidentiality of your application. Only you and the recruitment consultant will be aware of your password details. If you need to change your application details you can gain access to your profile using the password that was created by you.
 
Q: Do I need to speak Cantonese to be eligible for a position with Altira?
A: The majority of our guests & suppliers will speak Cantonese. Fluency in Cantonese is required for the majority of positions at Altira.
 
Q: Do I need to speak English to be eligible for a position with Altira?
A: English is preferred and will be an advantage if you can speak it, although it isn't compulsory for most positions.
 
Q: Do I need to speak Mandarin to be eligible for a position with Altira?
A: Mandarin is preferred and will be an advantage if you can speak it, although it isn't compulsory for most positions.
 
Q: When will I know if I have been successful or unsuccessful for a position?
A: Our recruitment consultants will review your application against open positions and will then advise you if you have been successful or unsuccessful for interview.
 
Q: I can't see the job that I want to apply for?
A:

This likely means that we presently have no vacancy in that position. You could create a profile and register your interest. Also please keep checking our website as new roles will be posted regularly.

 
Q: How do I find out the rate of pay for the job I applied for?
A: Your salary expectations will be discussed with you at the interview stage. The rate of pay for each position will be confirmed at the offer stage.
 
Q: What if I need a work permit?
A: If you are successful with your application, Altira will assist you in obtaining a work permit.
 
Q: What kind of organization is Altira?
A: Altira is a member of Melco Crown Entertainment. Mr. Lawrence Ho is the Chairman & CEO of Melco & Mr. James Packer is the Chairman of Crown.
 
Q: Who is the Leader of Altira?
A: Mr. Ted Chan is the President of Altira.
 
Q: Do I need Hotel or Entertainment experience to be eligible to apply for a role at Altira?
A: Some positions will require experience in the Hotel, Food & Beverage or Entertainment industries, although a strong focus on customer service will be required in all positions.
 
Q: Do I get free meals & uniforms?
A: An employee dining facility will be available for all our staff at Altira. The majority of employees that deal with our guests will be required to wear a uniform supplied and laundered by Altira.
 
Q: I live in Macau, will I be provided with parking?
A: Parking in the Taipa business precinct is limited. Altira will operate a shuttle bus service for employees to travel to and from work.
 
Q: Does Altira have a reward & recognition program?
A: Yes, Altira will recognise superior job performance. Details related to the reward & recognition program will be discussed with you on commencement with Altira.
 
Q: Does Altira have any training programs?
A: Yes, Altira is committed to the training and development of our employees. We have set up a dedicated training centre for our staff with customized programs for every position. Details related to training programs will be discussed at offer stage.
